Susie is a singer-songwriter based in Bristol and Cambridge. She draws inspiration from the stories of people and places she encounters, writing songs that make you think as well as feel. Susie accompanies her unique vocals on the ukulele and occasionally the mountain dulcimer. She is often joined on-stage by multi-instrumentalist Ant Miles.
Over the last few years she has opened for the likes of Jim Moray, Hattie Briggs, Sam Carter, Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys, and Gilmore and Roberts, as well as performing at Bristol Folk Festival, Priston Music Festival and a host of local events. In June 2020 she shared a bill with Clare Balding and Emma Thompson as part of the Cambridge May Week Mega Event.
Susie released her debut record in 2017; the five-track EP, called Scrapbook, was recorded at Lukas Drinkwater’s Polyphonic Recording, and was made possible thanks to a Kickstarter funding campaign. A new release is planned for 2021.
We are looking for gigs, exciting support slots and festival bookings for Susie. All date enquiries welcome.
